Our Education program is split and fitted within youth empowerment, girl’s leadership and development, and empowering grassroots women projects. Since 2009, GDEAP has also been providing a limited scheme of scholarships based on merit to a few girls who are bright as well as motivated but financially incapable of funding their own education. This girl’s scholarships last for five years and covers different education level. This scheme has so far supported eights beneficiaries.

By giving an opportunity to students who are bright but not financially capable of paying for their education, we are enabling young minds to pursue their dreams and change their lives for the better. We are helping individuals grab an opportunity to better themselves and we are transforming disadvantaged students into empowered citizens.

• Ensure that after 2015 every child should not only complete their primary schooling but pursue further studies.

We have made progress in achieving our goals but there is still a lot more that has to be done. We wish to provide all help to the brightest students who show maximum potential and who have shown excellence at their schools. These students often lack finances to access higher education. Such students have a decided capability of making real contributions to the development of Cameroon on a political level, economic level and social level.

Each student who receives aid from us must pass a very tough selection process. They actually form part of the top ten percent of the most talented students in their schools. Their only problem is that they come from an underprivileged background.
